YAYAPOPS!

The internet connection has been pretty bad lately due to the earthquake that happened in Taiwan. So my connection is pretty bad and I'm not sure how long this will go on. But if I don't blog again after this then it's most likely due to the bad connection.

Someone called up lastnight and it was a pretty good talk. I just felt good talking to him since a lot of stuff had been happening well not bad ones but it's just good to talk to someone. Erm... talked about chickens, designers, Singapore, him driving fast... hahah weird.

Tomorrow is Victoria's b'day! haha one of the bestfriends. :)

currently listening to BoyzIIMen haha very old school, I know! So yea I was wondering what in the world is Boxing Day... so I asked Jo and she can't quite explain it so she gave me a wikipedia link. I didn't really read it but overall Boxing Day is a day after Christmas where family just get together and spend Christmas or most likely go out and shop because everyone seems to be talking about Boxing Day Sale! Haha...

Owh had fun lastnight!! Good food and all. I can still see salads... took pictures but I don't think I'll put it up. Hehe :)

ohh today 26th December 2006, the list of those taking supplementary papers are suppose to be out but until now I have no news regarding that matter. What I heard and know those from Faculty of Science have theirs but how about us FBEPS? Erm... I hope it's up so I can get over it. Well if my registration number is not listed then there is only two possibilities, either I fail miserably and have to some subjects again next year or I pass (i hope it's this one). Erm... something that's been bothering me for days. And now I'm chatting with those in my faculty and no one knows about it yet. Erh.. kenapa lah begini??

Well I better go now.. since I want to watch some DVDs... not sure yet what to watch but I'm rummage through my collection. :)

Sometimes I feel really alone eventhough I know I have lots of friends around me. I have no idea why, I mean it's not like I can't relate to them well they are my friends after all but then again I can really feel there's this empty spot in my heart telling me that I'm alone. Maybe I'm going through the phase where I really need someone. Well I'm not looking for one but it will be nice to have someone to actually talk to late at night and someone to let of steam on! Meaning I need a boyfriend! Again I said I'm not looking but it will be good to actually have one. Let's see... I've that feeling for that certain someone in UK but I think he has feelings for someone else so he's out of the picture. Other than that... I don't seem to have interest on any other guys except for that guy he's in my Economics class but he's having problems with some particular girl and can't seem to get her out of his mind. I have a very good friendship with another male friend but he's attached and it'll be wrong to y'know! Some people know who this guy is. And I have no intention to even start a relationship with him.

So yea.. and plus most of the guys that I know and decent will always go after either Chinese or Caucasian girls. I mean what's wrong with me? Ok fine I might not be labelled as the most beautiful girl in Brunei and yes I am a bit chubby but still how come... y'know? I mean it'll be nice to get compliments once in a while in which I hardly ever get. Of course my close friends will say ohh you're beautiful. I mean Jo has mentioned this numerous times and so did this other guy and most of my cousins think I'm pretty. Ok fine that might sound a bit erm... but still if I'm what they think I am how come it's hard. I might be a bit arrogant looking when people first see me but then hey everyone has that look I guess. Erm... something to improve on. Be more friendly looking! hehe after all I am only 20!

so for the year 2006 lots of stuff happened and i can say it's all good

1. my first ever trip to KL and well I can say it was an experience. Didn't do much shopping but had a great time even though I got sick on my last day there and ohh yes Linda Onn's My Mum's Chicken Rice is to die for. I like...

2. Daddy got me a new phone, one of the phones that I've always wanted. :)

3. Had a fight with daddy over some small matter (ok this wasn't good)

4. My bestfriend left me to further her studies in Australia (ok not good again)

5. Got accepted into University Brunei Darussalam undertaking the course BA Accounting & Finance. *alhamdulilah*

6. Met a lot of new people and have a few strong friendships along the way in which I hope last eventhough one of them quit. :)

7. Read a few new blogs... and I can say the blogging scene in Brunei has expand and I think will continue to expand. Made friends with some of them... like Sha and Syaf. :) ok fine I only made friends with them.

8. My obsession with Taufik grew due to his soultry voice. :) and of course the album All Because Of You. Yes, it is all because of ME! hahahaha

erm... more to come if I can think of any since well 2006 hasn't actually end. hehe...

Let me just say this.. to all my readers and friends. I LOVE YOU!! :)

I think 2 days ago I was in the kitchen with my mum and this old song came on, it was the song from the classic movie Juita, it starred Kasma Booty and Allahyarham Tan Sri P. Ramlee. Y'know the movie where P. Ramlee works as a musician and left his girlfriend by the name Juita at the kampung and then that Juita got blind and he send money home to get her operated and all. But instead some other woman who wants P. Ramlee send a letter back home telling Juita that P. Ramlee died. So yea... so my mum was like, 'do you think I was name after her?' and I was like huh what? y'know the whole expression. hahah it's funny.. because my mum's spelling is way different but ada same sound and plus almost all her siblings call her Juita and not her real name. hehe.. oh well... maybe!

Had a chat with Zazu and gosh I nearly cried... I have no idea why. It happens everytime I chat with him. His words trigger my emotions. I don't know!!! He's happy and I'm happy for that. :) At last he found the girl for him. hehe :) oh well they're off to KK tomorrow and i'm left in Brunei. I'm not complaining because I'll be baking more muffins for christmas dinner. I'm invited to Jo's christmas dinner like I always do every year. hehe :) lots and lots of food :)

Yesterday afternoon I watched Love Actually without realising that it had a Christmas theme, see how ignorant I am and I've watched that movie several times before. Ohh and I love this movie. I have no idea why but it just has this effect on me. I just love watching it... I don't mind watching it repeatatively. :) Hehe.. I have a few more DVDs to watch... I still have Sleepless in Seattle and The Family Stone.

Ok I'm currently watching The Breakfast Show and now they're showcasing Madame Zorra and she mentioned that we don't need to marry our soulmate. Erm... maybe? but then again.. I don't know. I think to me it'll hurt knowing that person is your soulmate but you can't have them. Like you see them around all the time but you just can't have them around to comfort you and all. Yes we might have a common ground but you get what I mean. It's painful! How can ur soulmate not be the person you're married to? Can it really happen? I have no idea! Erm... yes I can be greedy because I want my soulmate to be the person I'm married to!

Oh lastnight i don't know why but I ended up clicking a link that goes to this photographer's site. He's a wedding photographer by the way and owhhhh I love the pictures he took! It's very.. awww!! hehe no no don't worry I'm not getting married yet because I don't even have a person to marry. Haha.. gosh! I'm jealous of those in a relationship. hehe..

oh well that's all.. this is random!..

I think I'm experiencing from post beach aches because my arms hurt and my legs hurt. And I'm having allergies... well my fingers are itchy... well it was itchy even before the beach.. but I think now the beach triggered it. Erm... but it should be alright soon.. just need to put lotion and cream. The heat and all are getting better, yesterday even after I took my shower I could still feel my face heating up. Erh! I had the after heat effect. I think I had an early night lastnight y'know compare to any other night because I was too exhausted. hehe..

well someone is baking cake for the father. hahah hope everything goes well with that..

and someone bought a $5 original Adidas shirt from Cambodia and didn't even had the tendency to buy me one! :p he better get me one...

hehehe... 2 more weeks.. for my great escape. haha :)

so today went to Muara beach, the rest actually opted for Berakas beach but it turned out to be full and it was only 8AM. So they changed venue... ahaha anything goes well for me. Fetched Amie then headed there, my dad drove there so I didn't have to find a parking spot. Dad dropped us there and then.. everything started... the bbq and the eating and the splashing. I think next time have to bring more water. Today only had about 6 or 7 bottles. Billy brought 5 bottles and there are more in his car. Ahaha... and now I'm super duper tired and 'heaty'.

So played around the beach and some person started to splash around wet sand! it dropped around like rain! It hit my shirt, my shorts and of course my hair... and when I walked back to the hut... my face was all sandy and so was my body! Arghhhhh BILLY!!!!!! and AMIE!!!!!!! hahaah...

what is the difference between those two? I've always thought they are the same but apparently they're not. Amie told me cupcakes are like cakes but sweeter and muffins are like breads but.. i don't know. So why can't they just say cupbreads y'know since it's nearly the same. Currently watching Goodbye Boys, the movie directed by Bernard Chauly. He's the same director that directed Gol & Gincu. Well there's this one guy in Goodbye Boys who is really handsome. And I only knew recently that he's a DJ. DJ Nas-T to be exact from the group Dragon Red. I think I remember Arif asking me to get him this group's CD in KL back in February. Hehe he's just aww adorable erh.. wait not adorable but.. erm.. handsome...

So yes this afternoon went all the way to Empire Hotel and Country Club cinema just to watch CINTA. Before that Dhiya and I went to pick up Vic from her place in Bandar and we ended up having lunch at Yayasan! We had dim sum. Yes we had dim sum for lunch but it was all good. :)

So yes Cinta! I'm not really good with reviews but I really have to say Cinta is just amazing, the cinematography is just superb... it makes me wonder is KL that beautiful? (ok fine, i've only been there once but...) It makes the ugliest place looks really interesting. So there are 10 stars in 5 stories in 1 movie. How interesting can this get? Yes some might say it's more like Love Actually, and I have to say it is more like Love Actually but at least the team behind Cinta made the Malaysian version of it with the whole Malaysian feel to it.

Arianna & Taufik

Sharifah Amani - Arianna
Pierre Andre - Taufik

Taufik is a struggling columnist in a weekly publicated magazine called Majalah Sensasi and well he's the lurus type of guy and does what ever that is told by his friends. His friends are dumping all their work on him. Meanwhile Arianna left Johor Bahru and came all the way to KL in search for the love of her life. In the journey of searching this love of her life, she got acquainted with Taufik because she needed help to find this guy. Taufik helped her not knowing the details of what's happening and the real situation. Taufik brought her back home, his home is located next to a train railway. Along the journey Taufik build this strong feeling towards Arianna without Arianna knowing it. I have to say in this movie Amani did try to get away from her 'Orked-ness' but I somewhat see the Orked in her along the movie... especially the Orked in Sepet. Pierre Andre well he's just him... the quiet guy who does his own thing. His character is not much different from his character in Salon or Dunia Baru. Entah lah! It's just my opinion and plus she's too rebellious to be such a naive girl. To know whether Arianna gets acquainted with Khalif (the so called love of her life) or not or whether Arianna gets together with Taufik... watch it!

Azhar & Azura

Azhar is a big magazine publisher and Azura is just a cashier girl at MPH. Azhar walks in one day into MPH and moved his magazines from one part of the shelf and to another because he wanted it to be noticed. Then Azura came and I guess from there on things just started to spark. Azura told him that the magazines are not worth selling. She explained to him why and all. She explaining all that not knowing that he owns the magazine. *teehee* it was funny!! The thing about Azhar is that he doesn't want other people to know that he's involve in a relationship with Azura. To him it's enough for him and the woman to know that they love each other. This way of thinking had cause a disappoint to Azura because she felt that she was not appreciated. All I can say... I've never really liked Fasha Sandha and her characters just doesn't develop well and what can I say about Eizlan Yusuf. Well I've always been in love with him eversince I first watched Perempuan Melayu Terakhir and in there while everyone else thought he was 'kayu' but to me he was just awwww.... so in Cinta well I think he did well. He made me realise that there are guys like that out there! :p

Dyan & Dhani

Sister and brother love! or more importantly sibling love. I guess in here it's true what this peribahasa says, "air yang dicincang tidak akan putus." No matter how much you have a misunderstanding with a sibling... at the end of the day.. they're still your flesh and blood. Dyan is having an affair with someone's husband and she's not happy with the life Dhani is having at the moment. Dhani is working as a portrait person at Pasar Seni I think. He's a degree holder and yet he's doing that job. That's what Dyan is worrying about.. the life her brother is heading at the moment. Along the movie something happen to Dhani and someone died... erh.. I don't want to spoil it. Nanu has always been a favourite of mine... from Perempuan Melayu Terakhir to PHSM... her acting credibility is just amazing.. she makes little scenes really important. I remember the scene at the hospital and I cried!! I seriously did it was just so... heartbreaking. I know someone else cried! hahaa and about Que.. it's something fresh from him and I'm yet to see more of him in the future because I see a future in him. :)

Cikgu Elyas & Rubiah

Elderly Love! Something hardly anyone sees anymore... but this is one of the touching stories in Cinta. I'm not going to tell the story of this except that they met and the rest as people say is history. Every single blog that I read talks about DRR and how great his acting is. The thing is I've not really seen any of his acting except for the one in PGL where he became Bendahara. So nothing much I can say about him but one thing, I'll always remember this dialogue, "Isteri bukannya hak milik tapi anugerah." And I hope one day my future husband will think the same way! In this movie his character is so alive and every single details mattered and it made such an impact. :)

Fatimah Abu Bakar as everyone would know, she was an acting coach for AF and she's also an acting coach for a lot of Shuhaimi Baba's movies. I don't really know her acting background but in here her acting was superb. Natural yet effective. Yes her loghat utara sounded funny but put that aside and we get excellent acting. I mean even the wave she gave Cikgu Elyas touched my heart. How she took care of Cikgu Elyas... my goodness.. it's just so... ohhh....

Hariz & Airin

Rita Rudaini - Airin

I saved this for last because to me this is the strongest story among the 5 stories. I felt like along the movie when it comes to this story I would cry. Typing this now and thinking back what I watched made me cry. A scene that brought tears was when Airin left Hariz for that Imran guy at the middle of the night and it was raining, Hariz wanted to surprise her with a drawing of their new constructed house titled, "Tanda Cinta Kita". But at that moment was the time she told him that she found someone else. So yea it was raining and the drawing was smudged.. everything was ruined. And after Airin left their house, he carried his daughter into the living room and the background music was the song Cinta... God... I was crying. It was just so sad!! And the daughter woke up and hugged the father. Erh... :(

Rashidi did well here and I'm so proud of him. He brought emotions that is hard for other guys to take on. He cried and it made others cried. The emotions were delivered well to the audience well at least it did to me. And erm.. Rita Rudaini.. hehe she's good. I've always loved her acting and in here... I just wanna slap her and make her realise that she left something that means a lot. Then again in the power of CINTA anything can happen.

Even though it's 5 stories but they are not linked with each other but these characters meet along the way not knowing that they're sharing the same problem regarding CINTA

So my verdict : ****1/2/*****

the soundtrack is great!! I love it! So Syaf... I hope after reading this you will go and watch Cinta, yes? hahah i'm not good with reviews so I hope this is good enough of you. btw.. your b'day picture is cute! :) I didn't know M'sia has a Consul in Medan! When you were in Medan I was in Jakarta. hehe :)

I have lots of things to say... ok let's start with

FRIDAY

In the afternoon went to my cousin's place for a doa selamat because he's leaving for Haj. So practically everyone was there and since my cousin lives close to Jo's place I went over to send her some food because my mom told me to. I told my dad that I'm walking to Jo's place and well he told me to take some people along with me since there are a lot of dogs there. So I told one of my nephew's to go with me instead I had 3 other guys who came along! It was fun.. somewhat like a family bonding thing. Hehe...

SATURDAY

Had French exam... it was alright. Wasn't easy but it wasn't as hard! If I don't do well then I deserve it because I didn't really study. After Isya' prayers went to the airport and send my aunty and her family off for Haj. Flight was at 10.40 PM so my parents and I had a late dinner at McD.

SUNDAY

Went to Miri and now I'm really tired. I think it was raining the whole day even in Miri. Going to Tutong tonight since my uncle is leaving for Haj. Hehe.. busy busy day! :) Oh bought slippers.. not so nice but it's alright for the beach. hehe :p

I've switched to Blogger Beta but everything looks the same to me except for when I type this post.. it has 'labels for this post' thing! haha this is indeed cool. Oh by the way yesterday met up with my darling Ms. Johanna Liew whom I last met 1o months ago so it was really good seeing her and she looks great! *psst... you look great* Went around the mall with her and had lunch at WestStreet Cafe! The food portion is no good but the food was all I can say.. erm it's alright.

So yea Jo wanted me to blog about this! Y'know at the mall there is this yellow dvd shop well I just found out that the dvd9 yg ada silver shiny stickers on them, well yea they're shelved in alphabetical order! I just found that out! I was looking for Jerry Maguire but I can't find them so Jo was like going, "G..H...I.. ahh here J..." and I was like, "what are you doing?" hahah see how unaware I am of certain things!

This post will be very random! I had a dream of a cousin of mine and it's funny cos well he's in Scotland undergoing some pilot thing and in my dream he's back in Brunei because I waited for him at the airport (in which I never do) and then his father told him to call him up when he reaches KB! Y'see I think my cousin's gf is from KB. Ahahah oh well there is no point to this dream. And this morning I wrote him a testimonial on friendster telling him I'm getting married. I hope he doesn't take it seriously because if he does he'll ask his mom about it! Erk....

So yea... can't wait for Monday.. going to watch Cinta! hehe :) at last! phew~~

I wonder how this color looks! hahah so yea I have two more papers to sit for and I can't wait. I sat for the paper that I don't quite like which was macroeconomics but after doing it and well a full 3 hours of writing, I think I might have done well for this one. Of course, there are a few terms that I forgot but hehe that's normal right?

Tomorrow will be Management and erm... I know I should be studying but instead I'm blogging and watching HOUSE on AXN. Hehe.. I hope tomorrow's exam will be alright.

Erh.. I can't wait for new year! hehe...

Ohh last Sunday my bought myself a pair of open toes, flat wedged shoes. NICE! haha yes I have a thing for shoes... so if you're planning on getting me anything for my birthday get me shoes!! hehe :)

I have 3 more papers to go and I'm not so happy about it. I'll be sitting for these two hard papers and it's on for two consecutive days. Argh... so I'm trying to study for Management at the moment but I just can't because of erm distractions. hehe so yea...

Been going out a lot actually but that's because I have to go to my relatives houses since they were having doa selamat and kesyukuran since they're going for Haj this coming week. So Friday went to my uncle's in Tutong and then today went to my aunty's in Seria. Oh on Friday went straight to KB and that was fun because I've always loved Seria and KB. I have no idea why but I just do. I bet it's the whole atmosphere and the view there. I was passing by Panaga and the view was just overwhelming. It was plain beautiful... especially around the BSP Housing. :) Yes, I want to get a job in KB and stay in Panaga! heeh :)

So yea I've taken interest for facebook. It's quite interesting and it shows how the people meet. And yes Jo we met during the Rendang Appreciation Club back in 1999. Hahaha I didn't even know you existed then because I was back in Jakarta. You're funny and I love you! haha you're back soon!!! :) yippies
