#264 So Close - Jon McLaughlin

You’re in my arms

And all the world is calm
The music playing on for only two
So close together
And when I’m with you
So close to feeling alive

A life goes by
Romantic dreams will stop
So I bid mine goodbye and never knew
So close was waiting, waiting here with you
And now forever I know
All that I wanted to hold you
So close

So close to reaching that famous happy end
Almost believing this was not pretend
And now you’re beside me and look how far we’ve come
So far we are so close

How could I face the faceless days
If I should lose you now?
We’re so close
To reaching that famous happy end
And almost believing this was not pretend
Let’s go on dreaming for we know we are
So close
So close
And still so far

Has it been that long?

Today marks the 40th day.

I can't believe it has been 40 days... I can still remember every single detail until the point the date was 6th June 2007! Days seem to pass by really fast nowadays which is good for me since I can't wait for U to start. It is weird isn't it my wanting to be back in the crowd especially school friends. I just can't wait for all the stupid drama and excitement... I actually miss going and skipping class... another thing to consider is I feel like giving up French next semester but erm... I'll have to think about that again, cos at moments like these I can make stupid decisions.

I can hear those thingies firing off from the Istana, I think the Royal Banquet is going on at the moment!

I have not watch Harry Potter & Order of The Phoenix

I'm watching Gol n Gincu the series... Jo nada Ashraf Sinclair.. well not yet heheheh

Tahlil tomorrow afternoon and I baked brownies and it looks good!

I'm sleepy... but I want to read a book!

#169 I am the Blue Woman

Hahah ignore the title because I'm currently reading The Five People You Meet In Heaven by Mitch Albom. I've read it before back in form 6 but recently a friend bought it for me as a gift so I read it again. I'm kind of tired from all the school work so I started reading some other books instead of textbooks.

I'm happy to say that I'm done with some of my assignment. I'm done with the first part of the English assignment and I'm done with my MIB presentation preparations. I just have to wait for the presentation day and then do the essay and I'll be one of the happiest young lady around for that week forward. :)

Did I mention that I find JFK (Xfresh) cute? hehe I remember back in 2005 I called up Xfresh and talked to him and he was just so sweet. He said I should be a radio presenter... heheh I just smiled when I think about those old times again. I remembered calling up Jo and told her that JFK e-mailed back... :) Oh speaking of Jo... woman I miss you soooo much!! I'm glad that your internet connection is back on because now I can chat with you :) Just wanna say I miss you! Seems like all is well there in Melbourne.

Ka Farah called tadi and said whether I want to be their MC for this Monday's forum. I had to decline but I really wanted to. I have classes on Monday and the French lecturer wanted to have a replacement class as well. It was good talking to her.. I think CSPS is close to my heart sudah! hehehe :)

Ahh well I better go... oh I watched Mr. Bean yesterday! It was a predictable movie but nonetheless it was super duper entertaining. I had a really good laugh. :p

Death Note 2 : The Last Name

Death Note 2 : The Last Name

Amie and I watched this movie yesterday afternoon, the 02:15 show to be precise. The rest of the gang watched it later on that night but Amie and I thought since we had class early in this morning we might just watch it in the afternoon and well we can always say we watched it before them. I cried at the end... it was just pretty sad for me! I won't give away the details because well some of you may want to watch it. I'm not a follower of the anime or the manga but watching the sequel was just so.... overwhelming! But if you guys are planning on watching it, do watch the first movie beforehand because in this movie there are no flashbacks or anything. It seemly goes straight from where the first movie left off.

Oh before that earlier in the morning I went to this bank, H**C. I wanted to withdraw my December and January allowance and then transfer it to another bank. So I went to their brance in Gadong and went upstairs just to find their forms are not labelled and there are no pens what so ever. Since I forgot to bring my pen I had to go back downstairs and used the pen that they have at the counter but to no avail because the ink dried out. So I had to ask the counter lady whether I can borrow their pen. Went back upstairs and waited for a whole 15 minutes or could it be 20 because my number was called. Then, I got to the counter the person behind the counter didn't even smile or even greeted me. He was nice though but kind of pissed me was he asked whether I have a PIN number. I told him that I do and he told me that I could have used the ATM machine. Since I wanted a large note I wanted to use the counter. But something pissed me off even more... he said their computer can't read my signature. I didn't update it or something. ERH... H**C annoys me now!!! So went down to the ATM machine and took out the amount I wanted.

After that I went to Sta. * Bank and transferred my money and that was FAST. Like SUPER FAST. Didn't even take me a mere 5 minutes and everything was settle. Their form boxes are labelled and their pens are working! Erm... seriously... H**C's service has seriously gone down! I think the only reason to why I still have my account there is because everytime my allowance is out from the government.. H**C account holders get hold of their allowance first.

Erm... I mean they've been around for so long and yet their service... erm... they even lost my welcome kit once! how stupid is that??

I'm watching Casper now and yesterday I watched Mulan and this afternoon I watched Beauty & The Beast.

till then.. :)

A friend asked me whether he can buy stock? Y'know as in stock exchange! heheh he's just being random tonight. And he got me into Michael Jackson because he said.. he heard this song on the radio but he can't find it on limewire. Weird ehh my cousin!! He's a friend and a relative!

My days have been quite hectic, my MIB tutorials got changed from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning (where I have no class at all) but I got that settled when I told the lecturers that most of the people in my class wanted a change. So most of the people in my class just went into some other empty classes. So I ended up with Amie... hahahah the 'tidak cantik' girl! I'm not saying she's ugly, she's really pretty but it's just an inside joke that happened during MIB tutorials! She's been practising her malay and I find it really cute! We had a substitute for our first tutorial but how I wish she is my tutor because she's really cool! Well at least she spoke in English, so that most of the chinese (and some malay) in the class can understand what she's talking about.

My French classes are really screwed up. See this is my schedule

Thursday - 0800-0900
Saturday - 1600-1800

I have a two hour late class on Saturday! On a SATURDAY!!! my goodness... I shouldn't be complaining since everyone else can't seem to make it on any other days. And since most of us objected to have class on Wednesday :)

ok for my overseas readers... classes and working days in Brunei are from Monday to Thursday and then Saturday. Fridays and Sundays are off!

I'm currently watching Notting Hill. Ohh the other day spend my time watching Serendipity on Fer's laptop at the FBEPS lobby. Hahah then I saw Ken... so I texted Amie and said.. 'erm.. it's serendipity' hahahah crazy!!

ahh well i better get back to watching Notting Hill. Hugh Grant is HOT.

Selubung

Was in Miri on Friday because babah wanted to get a small radio. His other one well let's just say.. it deteriorated since it's really old!

So while I was browsing around the Malay movie section at Speedy and I came across Selubung. I've been looking for that movie for ages and lastly I found it. What's interesting is it's a DVD and it only cost me $9.90. Cheap cheap and it's original! I try not to get bootleg ones if it's a movie that I'm really into! I've been looking for that movie for the past year! and lastly!!!

So yea it's Deanna Yusuf and the young young M.Nasir!! (he looked really different)

It's a sad movie but then again it's full of knowledge and all. :)

Director - Shuhaimi Baba

love actually and festive season

Yesterday afternoon I watched Love Actually without realising that it had a Christmas theme, see how ignorant I am and I've watched that movie several times before. Ohh and I love this movie. I have no idea why but it just has this effect on me. I just love watching it... I don't mind watching it repeatatively. :) Hehe.. I have a few more DVDs to watch... I still have Sleepless in Seattle and The Family Stone.

Ok I'm currently watching The Breakfast Show and now they're showcasing Madame Zorra and she mentioned that we don't need to marry our soulmate. Erm... maybe? but then again.. I don't know. I think to me it'll hurt knowing that person is your soulmate but you can't have them. Like you see them around all the time but you just can't have them around to comfort you and all. Yes we might have a common ground but you get what I mean. It's painful! How can ur soulmate not be the person you're married to? Can it really happen? I have no idea! Erm... yes I can be greedy because I want my soulmate to be the person I'm married to!

Oh lastnight i don't know why but I ended up clicking a link that goes to this photographer's site. He's a wedding photographer by the way and owhhhh I love the pictures he took! It's very.. awww!! hehe no no don't worry I'm not getting married yet because I don't even have a person to marry. Haha.. gosh! I'm jealous of those in a relationship. hehe..

oh well that's all.. this is random!..

my 2 cents on CINTA

So yes this afternoon went all the way to Empire Hotel and Country Club cinema just to watch CINTA. Before that Dhiya and I went to pick up Vic from her place in Bandar and we ended up having lunch at Yayasan! We had dim sum. Yes we had dim sum for lunch but it was all good. :)

So yes Cinta! I'm not really good with reviews but I really have to say Cinta is just amazing, the cinematography is just superb... it makes me wonder is KL that beautiful? (ok fine, i've only been there once but...) It makes the ugliest place looks really interesting. So there are 10 stars in 5 stories in 1 movie. How interesting can this get? Yes some might say it's more like Love Actually, and I have to say it is more like Love Actually but at least the team behind Cinta made the Malaysian version of it with the whole Malaysian feel to it.
Arianna & Taufik
Sharifah Amani - Arianna
Pierre Andre - Taufik
Taufik is a struggling columnist in a weekly publicated magazine called Majalah Sensasi and well he's the lurus type of guy and does what ever that is told by his friends. His friends are dumping all their work on him. Meanwhile Arianna left Johor Bahru and came all the way to KL in search for the love of her life. In the journey of searching this love of her life, she got acquainted with Taufik because she needed help to find this guy. Taufik helped her not knowing the details of what's happening and the real situation. Taufik brought her back home, his home is located next to a train railway. Along the journey Taufik build this strong feeling towards Arianna without Arianna knowing it. I have to say in this movie Amani did try to get away from her 'Orked-ness' but I somewhat see the Orked in her along the movie... especially the Orked in Sepet. Pierre Andre well he's just him... the quiet guy who does his own thing. His character is not much different from his character in Salon or Dunia Baru. Entah lah! It's just my opinion and plus she's too rebellious to be such a naive girl. To know whether Arianna gets acquainted with Khalif (the so called love of her life) or not or whether Arianna gets together with Taufik... watch it!
Azhar & Azura
Eizlan Yusuf - Azhar
Fasha Sandha - Azura
Azhar is a big magazine publisher and Azura is just a cashier girl at MPH. Azhar walks in one day into MPH and moved his magazines from one part of the shelf and to another because he wanted it to be noticed. Then Azura came and I guess from there on things just started to spark. Azura told him that the magazines are not worth selling. She explained to him why and all. She explaining all that not knowing that he owns the magazine. *teehee* it was funny!! The thing about Azhar is that he doesn't want other people to know that he's involve in a relationship with Azura. To him it's enough for him and the woman to know that they love each other. This way of thinking had cause a disappoint to Azura because she felt that she was not appreciated. All I can say... I've never really liked Fasha Sandha and her characters just doesn't develop well and what can I say about Eizlan Yusuf. Well I've always been in love with him eversince I first watched Perempuan Melayu Terakhir and in there while everyone else thought he was 'kayu' but to me he was just awwww.... so in Cinta well I think he did well. He made me realise that there are guys like that out there! :p

Dyan & Dhani

Nanu Baharuddin - Dyan
Que Haider - Dhani
Sister and brother love! or more importantly sibling love. I guess in here it's true what this peribahasa says, "air yang dicincang tidak akan putus." No matter how much you have a misunderstanding with a sibling... at the end of the day.. they're still your flesh and blood. Dyan is having an affair with someone's husband and she's not happy with the life Dhani is having at the moment. Dhani is working as a portrait person at Pasar Seni I think. He's a degree holder and yet he's doing that job. That's what Dyan is worrying about.. the life her brother is heading at the moment. Along the movie something happen to Dhani and someone died... erh.. I don't want to spoil it. Nanu has always been a favourite of mine... from Perempuan Melayu Terakhir to PHSM... her acting credibility is just amazing.. she makes little scenes really important. I remember the scene at the hospital and I cried!! I seriously did it was just so... heartbreaking. I know someone else cried! hahaa and about Que.. it's something fresh from him and I'm yet to see more of him in the future because I see a future in him. :)
Cikgu Elyas & Rubiah

Datuk Rahim Razali - Cikgu Elyas
Fatimah Abu Bakar - Rubiah
Elderly Love! Something hardly anyone sees anymore... but this is one of the touching stories in Cinta. I'm not going to tell the story of this except that they met and the rest as people say is history. Every single blog that I read talks about DRR and how great his acting is. The thing is I've not really seen any of his acting except for the one in PGL where he became Bendahara. So nothing much I can say about him but one thing, I'll always remember this dialogue, "Isteri bukannya hak milik tapi anugerah." And I hope one day my future husband will think the same way! In this movie his character is so alive and every single details mattered and it made such an impact. :)
Fatimah Abu Bakar as everyone would know, she was an acting coach for AF and she's also an acting coach for a lot of Shuhaimi Baba's movies. I don't really know her acting background but in here her acting was superb. Natural yet effective. Yes her loghat utara sounded funny but put that aside and we get excellent acting. I mean even the wave she gave Cikgu Elyas touched my heart. How she took care of Cikgu Elyas... my goodness.. it's just so... ohhh....
Hariz & Airin
Rashidi Ishak - Hariz
Rita Rudaini - Airin
I saved this for last because to me this is the strongest story among the 5 stories. I felt like along the movie when it comes to this story I would cry. Typing this now and thinking back what I watched made me cry. A scene that brought tears was when Airin left Hariz for that Imran guy at the middle of the night and it was raining, Hariz wanted to surprise her with a drawing of their new constructed house titled, "Tanda Cinta Kita". But at that moment was the time she told him that she found someone else. So yea it was raining and the drawing was smudged.. everything was ruined. And after Airin left their house, he carried his daughter into the living room and the background music was the song Cinta... God... I was crying. It was just so sad!! And the daughter woke up and hugged the father. Erh... :(
Rashidi did well here and I'm so proud of him. He brought emotions that is hard for other guys to take on. He cried and it made others cried. The emotions were delivered well to the audience well at least it did to me. And erm.. Rita Rudaini.. hehe she's good. I've always loved her acting and in here... I just wanna slap her and make her realise that she left something that means a lot. Then again in the power of CINTA anything can happen.

Even though it's 5 stories but they are not linked with each other but these characters meet along the way not knowing that they're sharing the same problem regarding CINTA
So my verdict : ****1/2/*****
the soundtrack is great!! I love it! So Syaf... I hope after reading this you will go and watch Cinta, yes? hahah i'm not good with reviews so I hope this is good enough of you. btw.. your b'day picture is cute! :) I didn't know M'sia has a Consul in Medan! When you were in Medan I was in Jakarta. hehe :)
to Dhiya : thank you for driving and we had fun! will do it again another day yes.. this time sushi on you hahaha
