Yes I know I've been MIA for the past month. Don't blame me but blame the ISP. I even wanted to change ISP. That's how pissed and desperate I was. It has been crazy, not connected for a whole month. I feel so left out from the internet world. No one even bothered to text me to tell me anything. I totally feel left out. So the only thing I did at home during the whole month was watching non stop TV especially The Breakfast Show *I really watched it Syaf* hahah and yea.. reruns of Desperate Housewives and now Grey's Anatomy. I even feel like I started talking to myself. How sad is that??
Two weeks back I went out with the SAS girls and had dinner at Capers. At that time I had a terrible sore throat. I couldn't even hear myself talking... it was that bad. But it was alright the next few days because I had lime and tea. It was sooo good. And Strepsils of course.
I got some pictures from that night off Eva's facebook.

And of course on the 14th July, the crew had a BBQ at Berakas Forest Reserve. It was fun.. I was there early around 830 I think and most of them weren't even there yet. It was an exciting day... I had so much fun. A lot of incidents happened. Sana ada quick sand.
Other than that nothing happened, that's how I spend the remainder of my holidays. Sad, no??
Oh well at least you guys know I'm still around and that I'm not gone or something.
Another drama in my life... it all happened today. Why oh why??? You know I can't hate you.. it's impossible for me to hate you!! Erh... why oh why??
#302 Anyone missed me??
#271 We actually went!!
Yes, we (Amie, Kalai, Razan, Mawi & I) braved ourselves through the whole traffic just to get to Giant. Giant apparently reminds of me of Wal Mart back in Mall Karawaci, Jakarta. I think it's the whole ware house concept I guess but it was fun. I guess fond memories of Jakarta was all coming back to me at that point. Ahhh I miss Jakarta, I miss the food, Kol Nenek, Tahu Goreng, Ikan Nila, Sayur Asem, Sate, and the list goes on... .
Actually it took us about 20 minutes or so just to find parking. We kept on missing the empty spots and if we did find one parking spot it was either we were a space ahead or too far behind. Argh... but we had entertainment in the car. Someone was singing dari teksi... ke miri, the songs ranged from Sudirman to Exists and I think Enchanted. Yes we were that bored in the car but entertained at the same time. I pitied Amie though as she had to put up with all the nonsense we did in her NEW. Yes, at last a new one. I like like like it!!! At least I got to be the first one riding in it... besides the other guys. Oh I met someone at Giant this morning. He's a friend of my dad and he used to work in the embassy as well back in Jakarta. I was walking out of Guardian and I saw this familiar looking guy and just stared at him. Then he pointed at me with this big smile on his face. He was like, "how are you??" and all... he used to be like a second father to me back in Jakarta as he liked to spoil me as he doesn't have any daughters. heheh =)
Ohh before Giant, we were at Yayasan as we had breakfast/early lunch at CA Mohd. We were kind of loud but I guess we were only loud when we started laughing, other than that we're fine. Oh I remembered it happened once at JC, my dad masih ada and all. There was this table of guys consisted of the famous and well known guys in Brunei... they were talking and then suddenly they burst out laughing. My dad was like, "that's how you differentiate them with other people." I guess I understood what he meant. Oh well...
Ohh I guess I have to go for the Dean's Cup this Saturday as it is the finals and help out with anything. I hope he'll be there. ;)
Later my lovelies.
p.s. Chawa - hahahahahah ntah maybe!! you'll just have to wait and see!
#269 Something...
I've been listening to a lot of jazz lately and I'm kind of loving Al Jarreau. I even downloaded this song by Bali Lounge, Angels of the Island, it sounds rather mysterious but it's all good. Oh I can't wait for tomorrow night. I hope the streaming will be working so I can listen to Suria Lounge on Suria FM. Yes I listen to Suria Lounge. It's rather interesting, Taj plays good music. Great music to be exact. I just wish that the Suria Lounge's website will be updated because I can't seem to know the songs being played.
Ohh I think two nights ago, I kept on playing the ballroom scene from Enchanted. I know sounds rather jobless but I just love the song. I can somewhat relate to it, it's that sense of longing to be with someone. Oh well... I tend not to think about it too much as it drives me crazy. I've stopped thinking about these things because if I do, like I used to, it makes me rather cranky and cry. So yea... I rather not think about it at the moment. I just let things flow with the go.
I have Quantitative Analysis test tomorrow and I'm only about 60% ready. I'm not good with statistics because can never really understand it. It's not that I don't want to understand it, it's just plain confusing. I have stopped for tonight and I'll continue tomorrow morning before IBF.
I had a meeting with Big Boss yesterday... it was very motivational. It was fun actually listening to his words of wisdom. Good luck with everything Big Boss... your ideas are brilliant. I know where to find you if I need help. =) Do keep in contact...
Currently there are 4 boxes of donuts at home from Singapore. I'm going crazy just looking at them. It's all in the fridge at the moment... biarkan lah dulu!! I'll eat them soon!
Arghh I'm kind of sleepy...
So later lovelies...
p.s. Ivy, OMG!! Hello you!! Yes I'll be there around in June, I'll tell you when alright. Maybe we can meet up..! It's been ages. :)
you lose some, you gain some. that's part of life
#196 yes, I am still around
My back hurts but that's not the reason to why I haven't been blogging. I think my back hurts from carrying all the plant pots which my mom wanted to move from one place to another and Brunei has been TOO hot! Blame it all on global warming lah. Seriously... it's like crazy hot and even in school it gets too hot! And I seriously don't like walking around campus because I don't know... I think I just don't really like walking around ALONE in campus because I'm so used on having people with me. And plus I get ignorant when I walk alone because I focus on getting to my destination.
So yea classes started on Monday and what can I say? I don't know... it's kinda fun I guess but I haven't get the hang of the thrill yet. I think I'll get the thrill when tutorials start on the 3rd week and most lectures start next week. My mom bought two of the books tadi from TA Morgen.. bought the Business Accounting 1 & 2 book... I think this book is an investment for me... y'know for my LOVE for Business Accounting.
And I think I still love FERHAD! ok that was totally random
Subjects this semester is not all that bad I guess and oh yea I finally decided to quit French. I think I just can't handle the pressure and all for French this semester, I mean it's sexy and romantic but it just gets complicated. I think being and getting sexy and romantic is complicated. *tehee*
Subjects this semester
- Business Law
- Principles of Islamic Jurisprudence
- Foundations of Information Systems
- Introduction to Accounting
- Human Resource Management
- English for Management Studies III
My back hurts...
p.s. A relative getting hitch soon! Wohoo... a month full of weddings and tahlils
#167 CSPS-UBD Forum 2007
I'm actually quite tired and I'm really happy and relieved that the forum has ended. I must say it went really well except for a bad start and a few bad things that happened in the beginning but overall I must say, our hard work really paid off. From all this experiences that I gained for that past 2 weeks I must say that I think I'm one stressed out woman. I get frustrated and stressed out really easily. I think that's one thing that I really have to work on. I realized that when I saw pictures of myself working and I looked like a total wreck. Well it only happened a couple of days before the forum itself but before that I was totally fine. :)
The forum was held at The Rizqun International Hotel last Wednesday, March 14th 2007. Went there around 0645 with Siang Ping and arrived there before 0700. The hotel wasn't that hectic yet but things turned out to be jammed pack around 0745 when people started pouring in and doing registration. Lets just say about registration I had something to do and then it didn't turn out as well as I planned it to be. Eventually started crying a few hours after that and someone saw me with my red eyes and started asking what went wrong? Oh well I guess I'll just have to learn from the mistakes :) As mentioned... around 1730, the forum ended and I was so happy that it ended but just didn't wanna let go for the memories but memories are meant to be cherished so yup! :)
From all the things that happened during the CSPS thing, one thing for sure... I've made a lot of new friends. And I'm not even complaining, I feel more comfortable talking to certain people and get to know them even better. I just love love love working.

p.s. didn't do so bad for my mid-term tests. I thought I was going to flunk with all the work. Alhamdulilah :)
#165 a birthday, work and tests
Sorry, I meant to post yesterday but I fell asleep like before 10 lastnight. Yes I've been pretty tired and kind of stressful in a way. I did mention that I volunteered for this forum, it's going to be held next Wednesday at The Rizqun International Hotel. So for the past few days, I've been getting some paper work done for the forum itself, been calling up people to get back to us about their participation. Whether they're coming or not? The whole she-bang, yesterday I called up some sponsor and some hotel to make reservation for the dinner and I don't know, things just didn't turn out how I wanted it to be. Oh well it's good that the people from Empire got hold of the Lady Boss. The Lady Boss is super duper nice... she helped me out with the programme this afternoon and even asked for my opinion. I love it when people ask me about my opinion, at least it makes me feel important and that I'm part of the job. Another great thing is I get to meet a lot of new people, talked to a lot of different people. I just love love it! The only thing that I still have to do is erm... design the programme cover! hehe :)
Ohh yes yesterday was Mr. Billy's birthday. I texted him up and asked whether I can call him instead he called back! The first thing he said was, "Happy Birthday".. hahah sot lah! I should be the one saying that to him. Lovely lovely guy he is!! haha he's off to Pulau Redang next week!! Sun-bathing!
Oh well I don't think I'll be blogging in the next few days because I'm busy with work and I have to study for my tests and I have to finish up some homework!
Ohh yes HAPPY BLOGIVERSARY CURIOUS SYAF! love love love!!!
#164 Le teste de Francais
I had my French test this afternoon at around 5ish. We could have started earlier if monsieur hadn't spend his time going over our homework. Dictation itself took about 20 minutes of the test time and the writing part is usually 1 hour but due to time constraint we only had it for like 40 minutes. Well actually he gave us extra time but since everyone else wanted to go home at 6PM sharp so all of us ended the paper around 6ish! I so do not like the paper, actually it's not hard if I had actually studied for it but erm... OK fine I did study for it but I just went through the exercises and the homeworks. It just won't go into my brain! I still can't quite differentiate between imparfait and passe compose . And I'm planning on sitting for this test... it's still not confirm yet though! Oh well... lets just hope I do well for this one. I know my dictation is good since I understood what he actually said this time around. This whole thing is just worrying me! Oh well...
Mid semester break starts next week, it's more like cracking the brain week! I have tests to sit for when uni opens. And a computer project to do! erh... and I'm volunteering for that Center of Policy Studies conference held on the 14th! Erm...... all I need now is time management. I seriously need help in time management! Aiks!! I seriously need to get serious from now on! I even feel like crying now thinking about it! :( Ahh...
Can't be bothered now... I'll post again when I'm in my right state of mind! I'm just thinking a whole lot on a Saturday night!
:)
#163
I had cheesecake for dinner and it's not just any cheesecake but it's from Starbucks. Yea the sister is back from KL and she called up and asked what I wanted. Since I'm not a big fan of fast food anymore and I still don't see what's the big fuss about BurgerKing so I just asked her to get me cheesecake. She was at KLIA when she called so yea I had cheesecake. I went to the kitchen about an hour ago and I saw two packets of ALL BUTTER SULTANA COOKIES from Marks & Spencer!! Yes I'm happy I'm happy!! I live on those cookies. I love them to bits and pieces. It's weird how I felt in love with them. Bought like 1 small packet and 2 big packets in Singapore and I kinda just finished them in about a week. :) Yes, that's how much I adore them.
Yesterday the gang had lunch with our unexpected guest! haha this unexpected guest texted me around 9 and asked whether I'll be going out for lunch. I'm the type is doesn't quite like texting people so I called him up and told him to meet us at TPH! It was super fun meeting up with him. The birthday coming up soon! hahah I got it right the first time I said it but he made me feel so malu cos he said it's wrong!
Oh yea mid term holiday next week but I'll be busy with this conference thing I'm volunteering for. This should be fun :)
till then ppl..
p.s. Syaf I'll email you soon!! :)
#162 princesasophie is a year old already!!
I didn't really notice that my blog is a year old until I checked because since Syaf's blog is turning a year old. Actually I started blogging back in 2000 but then I used livejournal because it was really easy to use since I had no idea any html codes and such! I started blogging because I felt weird back in Brunei after about 5 years being overseas (Indonesia). I know most of you are going to think... ahh it's just Indonesia and it was only for 5 years. The thing is I kinda grew up there... from the age of 9 till 14. So it's like I spend my adolescence years there. Indonesia opened my eyes to the bigger picture in life and then came back in 2000 and everything just seemed weird. School, friends, surroundings.. it just seemed awkward. Another reason to why I started was to keep in touch with old friends y'know keeping them updated with my Brunei life.
Then the blog started becoming personal as it was a place for me to pour everything out. I wasn't public about who I was then. I had nicknames and such and there were no pictures of me then. I became friends with a lot of people just by blogging at livejournal. One of them was a young woman in KL who I met for the first time in 2005 I think. Apparently her mom is the sister of a friend of my mom. Whose husband worked with daddy in Indonesia! What a small world? Then I met her again for the second time last year when I had a trip to KL to visit my uncle who underwent chemotherapy there. Got close to my current bestfriend through livejournal because she used to read my blog and I read hers! Then in 2002, we some how became bestfriends. Sweet huh? Until now!! Even though we had that fight in 2004 but we're all good now!! :)
Ohh how I miss the small community of Bruneian bloggers back in the days. Now, I don't know! I like blogging now because well I read my fellow UBD-ians blogs and it's just fun. You get to see the other side of people. Sometimes the good sides but then there are times where you see the bad side of them. I can be a judgmental person, I judge people by my first encounter with them. I try to change that because I don't really like it. It's a bad habit of mine! And blogging makes me see the people's characteristics!
And I have to agree blogging has expanded my number of friends. And I'm loving it! :)
till then... :)
#161 Study@UBD
Study [at] UBD started yesterday and today is the second and last day. It was a blast, I was fun seeing all these freshies going to the FBEPS booth and the FSC (FBEPS Student Council) helping around. Even though I wasn't one of the members but I just stayed at the booth and bugged them. That I do best! haha :) So yesterday walked around the FBEPS booth and all of a sudden saw a cousin of mine who works for BMobile. So talked to him for a bit but he wasn't there today. Ohh too bad! Ohh yes usually I have no class on Wednesday but then today I had a replacement class for French so attended that then at about 10 went to the Chancellor Hall and walked around with Amie and talked to some people. So yea basically spend my 2 hours in the Chancellor Hall talking to lecturers and tutors and friends and cousins. Yup I socialize and it was FUN!
here are some pictures from today's event:

Oh Amie is wearing that thing (can't remember what it's called) because she's representing the Japanese language booth! Nice yes? hahah they guys wore some Japanese custom in which I forgot to ask what it is! But them boys looked good :)
till next time :)
#159 Pool and Sushi
Today was fun!!! SUPER FUN!! First in the morning went to Amie's place for some visiting since it is still Chinese New Year and the kek batik was super soft and moist.. and I love it. When they rest came and stayed there for a bit then all of us went to Gadong to have our lunch at the sushi restaurant, Excapade. Yes, my friends we had sushi for lunch and it was just plain good! Sushi never tasted better... I just love having them around especially during our sushi sessions. Maybe we should do it again! After our sushi session, we headed for The Mall where we're suppose to catch the 3.30 show for Norbit but we still had about more than an hour to kill before Norbit starts so Siang suggested we play pool. I just went with the flow because well I don't know how to play pool... hehe :p but played one round with Amie since she insisted.

#158 Selamat Tahun Baru Cina...
It's Chinese New Year and it was pouring rain this afternoon in Bandar. And erm... since I had nothing to do this afternoon I ended up wrapping the Market Leader book and did microeconomics notes. I guess I'm done with all that... I have a thing for writing notes, I just love it because I'm like doing a lot of things at once... see I'm exercising my arm while writing, reading and understanding the subject. I don't just copy blindly, I read and understand it and if I dont' understand then I refer to the textbook. And my notebook is written in different coloured pens since it helps me revise. And plus I'm doing what Ustaz Hj. Zainuddin told us to do in Islamic Business Ethics last Saturday. I guess it's true, colours do stimulise the brain system. :)
I present to you my afternoon....

South Park :)

Death Note 2 : The Last Name
Amie and I watched this movie yesterday afternoon, the 02:15 show to be precise. The rest of the gang watched it later on that night but Amie and I thought since we had class early in this morning we might just watch it in the afternoon and well we can always say we watched it before them. I cried at the end... it was just pretty sad for me! I won't give away the details because well some of you may want to watch it. I'm not a follower of the anime or the manga but watching the sequel was just so.... overwhelming! But if you guys are planning on watching it, do watch the first movie beforehand because in this movie there are no flashbacks or anything. It seemly goes straight from where the first movie left off.
Oh before that earlier in the morning I went to this bank, H**C. I wanted to withdraw my December and January allowance and then transfer it to another bank. So I went to their brance in Gadong and went upstairs just to find their forms are not labelled and there are no pens what so ever. Since I forgot to bring my pen I had to go back downstairs and used the pen that they have at the counter but to no avail because the ink dried out. So I had to ask the counter lady whether I can borrow their pen. Went back upstairs and waited for a whole 15 minutes or could it be 20 because my number was called. Then, I got to the counter the person behind the counter didn't even smile or even greeted me. He was nice though but kind of pissed me was he asked whether I have a PIN number. I told him that I do and he told me that I could have used the ATM machine. Since I wanted a large note I wanted to use the counter. But something pissed me off even more... he said their computer can't read my signature. I didn't update it or something. ERH... H**C annoys me now!!! So went down to the ATM machine and took out the amount I wanted.
After that I went to Sta. * Bank and transferred my money and that was FAST. Like SUPER FAST. Didn't even take me a mere 5 minutes and everything was settle. Their form boxes are labelled and their pens are working! Erm... seriously... H**C's service has seriously gone down! I think the only reason to why I still have my account there is because everytime my allowance is out from the government.. H**C account holders get hold of their allowance first.
Erm... I mean they've been around for so long and yet their service... erm... they even lost my welcome kit once! how stupid is that??
I'm watching Casper now and yesterday I watched Mulan and this afternoon I watched Beauty & The Beast.
A friend asked me whether he can buy stock? Y'know as in stock exchange! heheh he's just being random tonight. And he got me into Michael Jackson because he said.. he heard this song on the radio but he can't find it on limewire. Weird ehh my cousin!! He's a friend and a relative!
My days have been quite hectic, my MIB tutorials got changed from Tuesday afternoon to Wednesday morning (where I have no class at all) but I got that settled when I told the lecturers that most of the people in my class wanted a change. So most of the people in my class just went into some other empty classes. So I ended up with Amie... hahahah the 'tidak cantik' girl! I'm not saying she's ugly, she's really pretty but it's just an inside joke that happened during MIB tutorials! She's been practising her malay and I find it really cute! We had a substitute for our first tutorial but how I wish she is my tutor because she's really cool! Well at least she spoke in English, so that most of the chinese (and some malay) in the class can understand what she's talking about.
My French classes are really screwed up. See this is my schedule
Thursday - 0800-0900
Saturday - 1600-1800
I have a two hour late class on Saturday! On a SATURDAY!!! my goodness... I shouldn't be complaining since everyone else can't seem to make it on any other days. And since most of us objected to have class on Wednesday :)
ok for my overseas readers... classes and working days in Brunei are from Monday to Thursday and then Saturday. Fridays and Sundays are off!
I'm currently watching Notting Hill. Ohh the other day spend my time watching Serendipity on Fer's laptop at the FBEPS lobby. Hahah then I saw Ken... so I texted Amie and said.. 'erm.. it's serendipity' hahahah crazy!!
ahh well i better get back to watching Notting Hill. Hugh Grant is HOT.
CicakMan?
After breakfast at Jing Chew this morning I had to go to Supa Save and do some grocery shopping because I'm getting these rashes on my body so I needed to get medicated body powder and shower gel. So now I smell like Dettol! But it's the nice one not the really bad smell! Oh well Dettol is not so bad and the whole prickly heat thing is ok now because I used the talc powder!
Well that's not the point because when I got home my aunt was waiting for us. So I walked into my room switched on the lights and I saw a CICAK. I have a thing against cicaks, they annoy me. Well y'know how if you move something the cicak will also move but this cicak didn't move a bit! And it had dots on its body! It's disgusting! So yea cicak+me=don't go well! My dad had to help get rid of the cicak from the room. It's just ewwww!! I was screaming yes seriously screaming because my dad wanted to throw the cicak at me!
Ohh yesterday I had fun! Went out with Jo for sushi then just walked around the Mall and ended up buying a shirt. And I have lots of shirt not even out from the luggage. Then right... went to Swensons and had banana split with the nicest combination of ice-creams ever! Met some cousins and a friend of my mom there! :) Ohhh my allowance for January is in. Erm.. things seem to speed up quite fast these days. :)
Lalala... I'm watching Wendy Wu on channel 61! I'm saving up cos I need the cash for something. Owh I can't wait!
The New Look..
after all the thinking that I made, I cut my hair this afternoon. It's quite short but I guess it should be hassle free from now on since I don't have to use that much shampoo and conditioner and it'll take less time to blow dry! :)

Wednesday? Off Day?
I hate sand flies! They gave me a scar! Stupid stupid stupid!
Oh yea... I might have Wednesday off through out this semester. How cool is that? Well I might if my French teacher doesn't come up with a timetable that includes a class on Wednesday. Well since he said I quote, "likes me very much." I hope he doesn't have class plans on Wednesday. Hehehe... I found out there are only 4 As from the two classes and one of them is MOI! hahah ok ok I may sound a bit full of myself but I'm proud of it. At least I'm good in something :)
Had lunch today with the gang which includes Billy since he texted and asked whether wanted to have lunch or not! So we met up at the boys hostel because I thought they might have those delicious roasted chickens (ok find Syaf, I do eat chicken). Only had chicken rice! Yes chicken again! Today might just be.. chicken day for me! My goodness...
I feel like eating pizza now! Ohh God why am I being random? Oh well it's occasional... maybe my hormones are woishhh or doishhhhhh!!!
Ohh regarding my Zen... ohh well I think I might just end up with Zen as Syaf suggested. Ohh Razan.. it has nothing to do with you! Zan, Zen.. y'know! So don't mess with me!
so regarding my erm... taggies well commentors! (is there such word?)
Syaf - Yes, I'm sticking with Zen.. sounds feng shui-ish but it's good right? Good feng shui?
Spider - hahah yes yes it's been a long time! Zenny... hahah sounds like a guy's name! and not a good one either! like Led Zeppelin! ok.. that doesn't make sense... ignore me there!
Sha - hahahah good choice.. but I think I'll stick to Zen.. sounds professional and erm... pleasant! heheh...
alright then people...
I'm off watching Grey's Anatomy... loving it!
p/s - all my commentors name starts with a 'S'... lalala cute..
we're just ordinary people!!
currently listening to Hady Mirza's rendition of John Legend's Ordinary People. Oh John Legend is performing tomorrow at The Esplanade, Singapore. I think! Yes yes I'm sure he is!
Uni starts tomorrow and the timetable just looks pretty confusing. I know it's not it's just... y'know too full! I hope everything is good tomorrow! I'm actually dreading 2nd semester now. I was excited of the thought of being back in Uni, now it's just erm... I don't know. I have everything packed for tomorrow!
Gosh I'm tired and I'm just waiting for my Zen's battery to fill up! Why is it taking so long?
Btw I need a name for my Zen! I can't call it Zen.. cos it sounds weird!.. any suggestions? :)
